general terms and conditions of cover

The Mare owner is obliged to offer the mare as long as the breeding season runs (from April 1st to August 1st). If the mare owner chooses to withdraw the mare earlier, we will invoice the full amount.


We work with fresh semen. If a stallion, for whatever reason (shows, illness etc.), is not available at short notice during the breeding season, we offer you, if possible, the use of another stallion or (if available) frozen semen.

Terms and Conditions

All in a row

Prices

Prices are exclusive of VAT and shipping costs.

Bonus

On Sundays and public holidays we charge a surcharge of €25 excluding VAT.

Starting rate

The starting rate will be charged for the first order.

1st insemination

The second rate will be charged if a 2nd order is requested within 16 days after the 1st insemination.

Not pregnant

We apply the 3rd rate when the mare appears not to be pregnant after 16 to 30 days.

Embryo rejection

If the mare rejects the embryo after 30 days, please contact Hoeve Chávez as soon as possible.

If you want sperm delivered the next day, you must submit your request

submitted before 19:00. After 19:00 the application will no longer be honored and will be postponed to a later day.

Payments

Stud fee

Stud fee is settled with a deposit of €150,- ex. VAT at the time of order (oral or written).

Mare owner

The mare owner is obliged to contact Hoeve Chávez about a possible pregnancy after /- 16 days of insemination.

The mare owner has a duty to report at all times. Should it appear that there are offspring for which no stud fee has been paid, Hoeve Chávez has the right to still demand payment of the stud fee and for each unreported offspring, increased by an immediately claimable fine of €5000,- ex. VAT per offspring.

Viable embryo

Stud fee must be paid per viable embryo. If multiple embryos are flushed or multiple foals are born from an insemination of two or more mares, the stud fee will be charged afterwards.

Liability

Hoeve Chávez accepts no liability for slow or (too) late delivery of the ordered semen.

If you want sperm delivered the next day, your request must be submitted before 19:00. After 19:00, the request will no longer be honored and will be postponed to a later day.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to the delivery of sperm.

The transfer of the breeding certificate will only take place once all costs have been paid.
